With a love for antiques and East Coast style, Whitney brings a fresh, elegant, refined aesthetic to the Pacific Northwest.  She grew up in “Furniture Country,” North Carolina, a place where each piece of furniture is lovingly hand-crafted and has a story.  Often the story involves family history because the piece has been passed down through generations.  Whitney has a drop-leaf table and chairs that belonged to her great great great grandmother!

Whitney graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where she earned a B.S. in Interior Design.  She then worked for Linda McDougald Design/Postcard from Paris Home, a full-service interior design firm in Greenville, SC.  In 2012, Whitney and her husband, Matthew, decided to make Bainbridge Island, WA their home.  Whitney worked as a designer for Furnish Bainbridge until launching Swan Studio Interiors LLC in the Summer of 2017.  She is also a ballet instructor at Bainbridge Dance Center.

Whitney is an allied member of ASID. She is currently working towards her Feng Shui Certification at Golden Gate Feng Shui School in Oakland, CA.
